FEES

Erasmus Mundus Fees

Fully self-funding students will pay fees according to public prices, to be established by agreement of the three degree-awarding institutions and revised on a yearly basis. Our current fee estimation is 12000€ per year, 24000€ for the full program.

Other costs

All students will be spending Term 1 in Murcia, Spain (September-December), Term 2 in Lund, Sweden (January-June), an internship of at least 6 weeks at a location of choice between Terms 2 and 3, and Term 3 in Erlangen, Germany (October-February). For thesis research in Term 4 (February-August), students are expected to be based at one or two locations, either from these three universities or somewhere else in the world, where they have been offered opportunities for employment or co-supervision. They are also expected to travel to one MULTICOM event per year.

Therefore, substantial costs can be expected for travel expenses, visa and residence permit applications, and the installation and living costs. Health insurance, library costs, administrative costs, and cultural and social events must be added.

We estimate that costs other than tuition will amount to at least 30,000€ per year. Self-funding students will need to provide adequate financial proof that they are able to cover all costs associated to the program (details forthcoming).

SCHOLARSHIPS

There are approx. 20 Erasmus Mundus scholarships available for the 2026/2027 intake, beginning on September 1st 2026, at the University of Murcia. Financial aid covering part of the costs may also be available.

The scholarship includes all MULTICOM participation costs. These participation costs cover tuition fees, health insurance, library costs, administrative costs, cultural events, and any other expenses necessary for participation in the program.

Scholarship holders also receive a pro-rata payment totalling 1400 euros/month for the entire duration of the study programme (maximum 24 months), which is used to cover travel expenses, visa and residence permit applications, and the installation and living costs.

The evaluation of funding applications is exclusively based on merit and international diversity (a max. 10% of scholarships for the same nationality). Applications for financial aid are filed separately and do not influence the admission process. Admitted candidates may be offered a full scholarship, partial funding, or no financial aid.

FUNDING

Public & private funding

Public and private funding sources

Public funding sources provide support through government grants and institutional funding. Private funding sources include scholarships, grants, and loans from reputable organizations, foundations, and companies. These funds can cover tuition, research, and living expenses, often awarded on merit, need, or other criteria set by the provider. Explore funding options in your own country or region. MULTICOM-relevant funding opportunities will be listed here as we identify them.
