Overview
The MULTICOM master’s program is 2 years, 4 terms, 120 ECTS, with one compulsory professional project in term 3 and the possibility of a second professional placement at a suitable partner during term 4. Each term students must earn 30 ECTS.
MULTICOM Learning Outcomes
1. Attain knowledge and understanding in the main field of Data Science of Human Multimodal Communication, including both broad knowledge in the field in general and highly specialized knowledge in certain areas of the field in particular, as well as deep insight into current research and development work.
2. Attain advanced knowledge of methodology in the main field of Data Science of Human Multimodal Communication.
3. Develop the ability to integrate knowledge critically and systematically, and to analyze, assess and deal with complex phenomena, issues and situations, even with limited information.
4. Develop the ability to critically, autonomously and creatively identify and formulate issues, plan and adequately implement qualified tasks within given time frames, thereby contributing to the development of knowledge, and to evaluate this work.
5. Develop the ability, in both national and international contexts, to express and discuss clearly in speech and in writing their conclusions and the knowledge and arguments on which they are based in dialogue with different groups.
6. Develop the skills required to participate in research and development work or to work independently in other qualified activities.
7. Develop the ability to make assessments based on relevant scientific, societal and ethical aspects within the main field of Data Science of Human Multimodal Communication, and demonstrate awareness of ethical aspects of research and development work.
8. Gain insight into the possibilities and limitations of research, its role in society and people’s responsibility for how it is used.
9. Develop the ability to identify their need for further knowledge and to take responsibility for their knowledge development.
